Společenské aktivity brněnských Řeků

Abstrakt

The aim of the study is to describe the possibilities of Greek social life in Brno and the activities of Greek organizations in the research area. The study examines the position of these organizations in the Greek community and asks to what extent they influence the respondents’ preferences to spend their free time within the communal life of the given national minority. The article tries to introduce readers into the various entertaining and educational programs realized by the observed minority with the ambition to show that Greeks enrich the city of Brno in terms of its cultural life. The study is based on the results of field research, which have already been utilized in the author’s master thesis.
